Strong Filed was brought to life in 1955 by Bob and Jessie Strong. The Strong's ran a construction company and donated time and equipment to help bring a baseball team to Sturgis .

In 1961 The Sturgis Titans were started and both High School and Legion teams have always call Strong Field home.
